Som^r:set County Ss John ffreeman Late of this County was attached to answ^r: unto Capt^a:
Henry Smith in a plea of Debt /
And whereupon the plte by Thomas Poole his attorney Comes & Saith that he the s^d: John
upon the third day of May in the year o^r: Lord 1673 became indebted unto y plte
the full & Juste sume of three hundred & fifty bushells of ~~wheate~~ good Cleane -----
wheate as will in Co^rt: more plainely appeare by three bills under the hand & Seale
of him the Said John & here in Court produced the which bills he the said John Did
faithfully promise to pay unto the plte according to the Dates & tenors of the aforesaid bills
the first bill one hundred bushells to be p^d: october the tenth in y year of o^r: Lord 1683 the
Second Two hundred bushells payable upon the tenth day of october in y year of o^r: Lord
1684 The third bill fifty bushells of wheate but he the Said John Little regarding his bills
promise or assumption but fraudulently intending the plte to deceive of the aforesaid
Three hundred & fifty bushells of wheate doth denie & Still doth denie to pay the same
although often there unto required by the plte whereupon the plte Saith he is Damnified &
hath Damadge to the value of Seaven hundred bushells of the Like wheate and thereupon
brings this Sute / ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
