Rowland fraudulently intending the plte to deceive of y 200lb: of tobacco & y dayes

This following indenture read before the Cort: & Jury
This Indenture made the 12th: day of Janry: 1679 Betweene Rowland Shepherd of y one party
and John Webb of the other party Wittnesseth that the said Rowland Shepherd doth hereby
Covenant promise and grant to and with y said John Webb his executors from the day
of y Date hereof untill his first arivall in Maryland & after for and duering the tearme
of Seaven yeares to Serve in Such Service & imployment as he the Said John Webb or
his executors: Shall there imploy him according to the Custom of the Contry in y like kind
in Consideracon whereof the Said John Webb doth hereby Covenant & grant to an with
the Said Rowland Shepherd to pay for his passage and to finde & allowe him meat -
drink apparell and Lodging with other necessaryes during the said Terme and at
the end of the said terme to pay unto him Such things as the Custom of y Contry
doth in yt: Case provide In witnes whereof y parties above mentioned to these Indentures
have enterchangeably Set theire hands & Seales the day & year above written
