John Deale Def^t: Willimott Hill widdow in an accon of the Case
And Whereupon the pl^t: Willimott Hill by her Attourney John Taylor
Comes & Sayth that in the yeare 1688 in the Mounth of January in the same
yeare the def^t: became indebted unto the pl^t: the full and just Sume of ffour
hundred Twenty five pounds of Tobaccoe as pr acco^t: here in Court produced
will more plainely appeare but the Def^t: John Deale Utterly Denying to pay
The same 425^lb: of Toba^o: to the greate Losse and Damage of the pl^t
To the vallew of Eight hundred and Sixty pounds of Tobaccoe &
Thereupon brings this Suite // acco^ts: prduced & read - - - - -
And the def^t: by his Attourney Peter Dent Cometh and defendeth the force &
Injury when &^t: and for plea Sayth that the pl^t: her accon She ought not to have
for that the Def^t: sayth that he paid the pl^t: the debt in the Declaracon Mentioned
by Sundry Worke Don for her
Upon which Came both prties and by Mutuall Consent put themselves to the judgm^t: of y^e Court
Whereupon it is Considered by this Court here that the said Willimott Hill take =
Nothing by her said Writt but be in Mercy for her false Clamour and that John
Deale goe thereof without day / And it is further Considered by this Court that
John Deale recover against the said Willimott Hill the Sume of
Tobaccoe for his Cost and Charges in this behalfe laid out & expended
