of this County the Second Tuesday in November last past doe present and finde that Charles
Williams of Boquetonorton hundred being pressd by William Innis Constable of the s^d: Hundred
To Conveigh and bring Jenckins wife to Matthew Jenckins late of this County to Testifie
In Open Court (in November last past) ag^t: Richard Harris & Susanna his wife in behalfe of
The Lord prop^ry: Did wickedly and Contemptuously denye and refuse to Assist the said Constable
Tho stricktly thereunto Comanded ag^t: the good Lawes and institucons of this Province and in
Contempt of his Lordpps Authoritty Wherefore his Lordpps Attourney craves judgment may be -
Entered ag^t: the s^d: Charles Williams according to Law in that Case provided &^t: - - - -
Upon which Came Charles Williams afores^d: in his proper person and pleaded not guilty & for his
Treyall put himselfe to the Mercy of the Court - - -
Whereupon it is Considered by this Court here this day Viz^t: the 12^th: day of June in the xiiii^th: yeare
of the Domion of the R^t: hono^ble: Charles &^t Annog Domi 1689 that the afores^d: Charles Williams
be fined one hundred pounds of Tobacco according to the rules of Court for his Contempt as alsoe
That he give Suffitient Securitty for his behavio^r: and paym^t: officers ffees - - - - - -
Now here at this Day (to witt) the 12^th: day of June as afores^d: Came the afores^d: Charles Williams
with his Sureties John Taylor and William ffossett and in Open Court did ackowledge themselves
to stand indebted unto the R^t: hono^ble: the Lord prop^ry: Viz^t: the said Charles Williams in the sume of
Tenn pound sterling and John Taylor and William ffossett in the sume of five pounds Sterl. apeice
To be Leavied on their goods & Chattles Lands & Tennem^ts: for the use of the Lord prop^ry: afores^d:
The Condicon being Such that if the above bound Charles Williams be of the good behaviour &
Soe to abide dureing pleasure as alsoe pay his fyne of one hundred pounds of Tobacco upon
Demand with Cost of suite then the above Obligacon to be void Otherwise to remaine in
