oath he made no agreemt for his Passage with y plte Therefore defendeth y force & Injury Saying he
being a passenger with others & onely desired a passage with him as being his freind not ing thinking he would
have demanded anything of him humbly Craveth a nonst: wch: is ordered this Cort:finding no Cause of accon /

of tobacco Whereupon this Cort: ordrs: yt John Vigerons pay the Same with Cost of Sute alias execucon.

Somrset County Ss John Davis Carpentr late of this County was attached to answr unto Joseph ffreeman
of this County Carpentr in an accon of Debt &c
And whereupon the plte by his attorney Tho: Poole Comes & Saith yt he the Sd: Davis upon y 15th day
of August in the year of or Lord 1682 become indebted unto y plte the full & Just sume of Twelve
hundred & fifty pounds of tobacco of good Sound Marchantable Tobacco pble upon the 10th day of october next
ensueing wch: we have here in Cort to produce bearing date as aforesd undr y hand & Seale of him the
Sd: Davis wherein he did binde himselfe his heires executrs: & admrs: to the well & true prformance of
the aforesd paymt: of 1250lb of tobacco unto y plte his heires executrs: admrs: or assignes according to
y tenor of y aforesd bill but he the Sd: Davis little regarding bill but fraudulently intending the plte
to Deceive of the Sume aforesaid doth denie & Still doth denie to pay the Summe aforesd: of 1250lb of tob.
although often there unto required by the plte whereupon the plte Saith he is damnified and hath
Damage to the value of 2400lb of tob & thereupon bringss this Sute Pledges de Po Jno: Doe

Maryland Know all Men by these presents That I John Davis of y County of Somr:set & Province above Sd do
owe & Stand Justly indebted unto Joseph freeman of the Sd County & Province in the Just Sume & quantity
of Twelve hundred & fifty pounds of good Sound Marchantable tobacco in Caske to be pd Convenient in
the foresd: County of Somr:sett at or upon the tenth day of October next ensueing the Date of these pr:sents
To y well & true performance hereof I binde me my heires executrs: & admrs: firmly by these pr:sents
To y Sd Joseph ffreeman his heires executors admrs or assignes witnes my hand & Seale this 15th: day
of August 1683 ~ ~ ~ ~ John Davis (Seale)

Cort ordrs that John Davis Carpentr pay unto Joseph ffreeman or his ordr: twelve hundred & fifty pounds

tanck of killing of Hoggs It is ordered yt the sherife take into Custody y Sd: Andrew & him Secure to answr y Complaint at or next County Cort to be holden y Second Tuesday in March next And That Thomas Shanck doe aid & assist the Sherife about
