Annoq Do^m: 1683 before the Justices aforesaid in Co^rt: Sitting & them & there did Confesse Judgem^t
for the S^d: four hundred & three pounds of tobacco Due to Andrew Whittington whereupon the Co^rt:
ord^rd: y^t John Christopher pay the s^d four hundred & three pounds of tobacco to Andrew Whitting or his
to his assignes with Cost of Sute alias execucon ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Som^rset County Thomas Horssman Taylor late of this County was attached to answ^r unto Andrew Whittington
Inholder in a plea of Debt &c
And whereupon the plte by Thomas Poole his Attorney Comes & Saies that he the S^d Thomas upon
the eleaventh day of September in the year of o^r: Lord 1683 became indebted unto y plte y
full & Just Sume of eight hundred thirty five pounds of good Sound marchantable tobacco & Caske
as will in Co^rt: more plainely appear by a bill w^ch wee have here in Co^rt: to produce under y
hand Seale of him y S^d Thomas bearing date 11^th day of Septemb^r 1683 wherein he the S^d: Thomas
did binde himselfe his heires executo^rs: & adm^rs: to pay the Sume aforesaid 835^lb: of tobacco unto
the plte his heires or assignes at Some Convenient place in the County afores^d according to
y tenor of y afores^d bill but he S^d: Thomas Little regarding his bill but fraudulently intending
the plte to deceive of the Sume afores^d: doth denie & Still doth denie to pay the same although
often thereunto required by the plte whereupon the plte Saith he is Damnified & Damadge to
y value of Sixteene hundred pounds of tobacco & thereupon brings this Suite

This bill bindeth me Thomas Horsseman of Som^rset County in the Province of Maryland Taylor
my heires executo^rs: & adm^rs: to pay or Cause to be p^d: unto Andrew Whittington of y County and
Province aforesaid Inholder his heires or assignes the Just Sume of Eight hundred thirty five
pounds of good Sound Marchantable tobacco & Caske at Some Convenient place in Som^rset County
as witnes my hand & Seale the eleaventh day of September Annoq Do^m: 1683 ~ ~ ~

And whereupon the plte by his attorney Thomas Poole Comes & Saies y^t he the S^d William
upon the 27^th Day of November & in the year of o^r Lord 1683 became indebted unto y plte y
full & Just Sume of four hundred Sixty & Six pounds of good Sound Marchantable tobacco as will
in Co^rt more plainely appeare by a bill und^r y hand & Seale of him the S^d: William bearing
date as afores^d wherein he the said William Did binde himselfe his heires execut^rs:& adm^rs
to pay or Cause to be payd unto y plte his heires or assignes the full & Just Summe of 466^lb:
