At a County Cort by adjournemt held the 28th day of november Annoq: Dom: 1683 before his Lopps Justices

mr: Wm: Brereton mr: Wm: Jones
Whereas Capta: Henry Smith made a proposal to finish this Cort: house for and in Consideracon of
Twelve Thousand pounds of tobacco to be paid this present year out of y County Leavy (desires )
five hundd pounds of tobacco for the ( ---ington ---) to be paid by ( )
Security in work of his Tra Capta John Winder? serve as Security for him
This Cort:takeing the premisses unto their Consideracon (orders) that there be paid this ( )
(quarter) out of the County Leavy to Capta Henry Smith or his order Twelve Thousand pounds of tobacco
& alsoe that John Horsey as Security for ( -ington) pay unto the said Capta Henry
Smith five hundred pounds of tobacco yt the said Capta Henry Smith to ffurnish to be
furnishethe Court housewith plankk above as afore with good &
in both the Lower roomes & the upper roomes to be divided into Two the outermost Divided
with hinges Locks and Keyes y staires glass windows & Carpenters Joyners & Trapings? work
Seates for Justices persacles Tables and all other necessaries to y Compleating of y Court house

The Same Day Commissioners as afore
Whereas Capta: Henry Smith made a Proposall to this Court To build or Cause to be built & finished
one sufficient dwelling house Twenty feete long & Sixteene feet wide with one safe Chimney as
alsoe one Stable thirty foote long Twelve foote & a halfe wide with rack & ( )
Consideracon of the Severall fines for Securing of (matrll with) good vertue and justice It is ordrs that the
Severall persons concerned for the payment of such fines pay the same unto Capta Henry Smith or his
order in Tobacco And that the Sd Capta Henry Smith cause the said house to be built accordingly
on the Counties Land where the Court house now is ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ `

Whereas mr Thomas Newbold Coroner demands 250 pounds of tobacco out of y County Leavy
for Coronrs: fees due to him for setting on the Corps of James Russ deceased being drowended in
Pocomoke river This Cort Taking y premises into their Consideracon Doe order yt the goods
of James Russ yt is in the Custody of mr Edmund Howard be appraysed by Two sworne appraysers
vizt Walter Powell & Richard Warren & out of the Summ there be pd unto mr Thomas Newbold or
his ord Two hundred & fifty pounds of tobacco for Coroners fees

Whereas Wyt Adderton of this County being noe wares Capable to maintain himselfe It is ordered

Round of a Servt named Thomas Nicolls humbly Craves leave of yt y Cort yt he may make
a new bargaine with y Sd Tho: Nicolls wch is grannted to y said James Round
