Sommrsett Ss: John Anderson of this County Sawyer was Summoned to answr unto Major: John West of ~~
accomack in an accon of Debt: : ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
And whereupon y said West by his Attorney Thomas Poole Saith yt hee the said John became indebted unto
him y said West y Summ or quantity of fifteene hundred good sufficient well rived Claboards & alsoe to
Deliver y said West as aforesaid his Shalops full load of good Cypress quarters fitt to make good covering Claboards
& of five foot four inches Long as will more plainely appeare in Cort: by a certaine wrighting under y hand
of him y aforesaid Anderson wherein hee bindes himselfe his heirs executors , or admrs, to Deliver y boards
& timber as aforesaid which wrighting beares Date y second Day of March in y yeare of or Lord God 1671:
which wee have here in Cort to produce but hee y Sd John Little regarding his promise & assumpcon fraudu
lently intending him y aforesaid West to deceive of y aforesaid boards & timber aforesaid Doe Deny and
Still Doth Deny to pay y said timber The plaintiffe Saith hee is Damnified & hath Dammadge to y value
of Two Thousand Seaven hundred pounds of Tobacco & thereupon brings his Suit.

This Bill bindeth mee John Anderson my heirs Executrs, or admrs: to Deliver unto John West his heires
or assignes on all Demands att my now Dwelling house in Pocomoke river & att my Landing fifeteene
hundred good Sufficient well rived Cypress Clapboards & are to bee fitt for covering five foot four inches long
and also to Deliver to y said West as aforesaid his Shallops full load of good Cypress quarters fitt to make
good Covering Clapboards & of y same length aforesaid & in consideracon of y performance of y premisses
aforesaid y said West is to allowe & pay mee y Summ of eleaven hundred pounds of Tobacco & Casqe acknow
ledging by these presents to have received in goods att this instant in part of payment aforesaid y Summ
of nine hundred forty three pounds of Tobacco & upon y performance aforesaid there rest Due to mee as
remaines of y full payment y Summ of one hundred fifty seaven pounds of Tobacco & Casqe to y per
formance of which I binde my Selfe my heirs executors or admrs: to performe y premisses aforesaid
