And whereupon y said Jn^o: Evans by his attorney Thomas Poole Saith y^t hee y S^d Dorman in y moneth of Jan^ry
in y yeare A^o: Domini 1676 att y house of m^r John Winders in this County made assault & him y S^d Evans beat
wounded & evill intreated y^t of his life hee did despaire & oth^r harmes to him hee did to y great Damadge of y
pl^t: & Contrary to y peace & Governement of y proprietary whereupon y plainteffe Saith hee is Damnified &
hath Dammadge to y value of Two thousand pounds of Tobacco & thereupon brings his Suit: / : Tho: Poole p quer
And y Def^t by his attorney Henry Smith Cometh & Defendeth y force & injury & Saith they made noe assault
and Desiers y^t itt itt might be proved m^r John Winder and Thomas Strattin being Subp^a on y part of y pl^t
