hand of him the Said Jarman Gillett bearing Date y 26th day of May in the year of our Lord
God 1675 by which writing the Said Jarman did assume upon himselfe & promise to pay or
Cause to be paid unto the Said William at or upon the Tenth day of october next ensueing the date
of the aforesaid writing Conveniently in Sommersett County unto the Said Wm Greene his heires
executors or admrs: to Satisfie & pay 470lb of tob: & eighty pounds of tob: upon accot: in all amtg to y
aforesaid Summe of 550lb: of Tobacco but he the Sd: Jarman fraudulently Intending to deceive him y
Said William of the Said Tobacco delayeth & Still doth to pay the same although often there unto -
required: The plte Saith he is Damnified & hath Damadge to y vallue of Eleaven hundred pounds
of Tobacco & thereupon brings his Suite &c ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~p quer Thos Poole ~ ~
This Bill bindeth me Jarman Gillett of Pocomoke in the County of Accomack planter me my heires executrs
admrs: or assignes to Satisfie & pay or Cause to be Satisfied & paid unto Wm: Greene of Pocomoke aforesd
in the County of Sommersett & Province of Maryland planter the full & Just Summe of foure hundred
& Seaventy pounds of good Sound Marchantable Tobacco with Caske to Containe y Same it Coming due
to the Said Wm: Greene for Avaluable Consideracon wch the aforenamed Gillet have in hand afore
recd: The aforesaid Summe of Tobacco to be paid unto the Said William Greene or his heires or assignes
in at or upon the Tenth day of october next ensueing y day of the Date hereof at the dwelling house-
of the aforeaid Jarman Gillett as witnes my hand & Seale this 26th: day of May 1675

Whereupon the aforesaid Robert Blades by his Attorney Edward Jones Saith that the aforeSaid George
Phebus about the Month of Septembr: in the year of our Lord God 1675 then became Indebted unto
the aforeSaid Robert Blades in the Summe of Two Thousand pounds of Tobacco in Caske to be paid
unto the Said Robert when thereunto required as doth appeare by Evidence here in Cort pduced
but the Said George Little regarding his promise but fraudulently intending refuseth to pay the
Summe of 2000lb: of tob: & Caske although often thereunto required whereupon the plte Saith he is
damnified and hath Damadge to y vallue & Losse of Two thousand nine hundred pounds of tobacco
& whereupon brings his Suite ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ pro quer Edwd: Jones
This following writing was produced in Cort: & read
Know All Men by these presents That I Robert Blades doe oblidge my Selfe my heires executors
admrs: or assignes to make over or Cause to be made over by way of Conveyance y plantacon
whereon I now live onely Some Young apple trees excepted unto William Giles or his assignes
for Ever with all the premisses thereunto belonging from me my heirs or assignes & I doe oblidge
my Selfe my heires executors & admrs: to warrant the Sale of the Said Land against All
unjust Claimes whatsoever as witnes my hand & Seale this 25th: day of September 1675
