an accon of y Case &c: & there are pledges to prosecute John Doe & Richard Roe: ./ : ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
And whereupon y Said Alexander by Thomas Poole his attorney Complaineth that whereas y S^d Def^t on y
27^th: Day of December in y first yeare of y Dominion of y R^t: Hon^r:ble Charles over Maryland &c Annoq Do^m
1675 Did by his Certaine writeing under his hand & Seale Constitute & appointe y pl^t: Deputie Sherriff to
serve any manner of process which to him y S^d Coll^ll: then high Sherr of this County Should belong to Serve un
till y Last of march then next followeing which wrighteing is here in Co^rt produced y pl^t accepting of y S^d: office
the said Coll^ll: Colebourne Did assume upon himselfe & promise to pay unto pl^t y one halfe of the fees Due upon all
manner of writts Soe by y pl^t executed the which in all Did amount to y Summ or quantity of Two thousand
one hundred & Sixty five pounds of Tobacco as pr acco^t here in Co^rt: produced will appeare whereof Due to y pl^t
from y Def^t one Thousand eighty Two pounds of Tobacco & halfe a pound of Tobacco notwithstanding his promise
to pay y same refuseth & still Doth refuse to pay y pl^t y S^d 1082^lb: of Tobacco to y plt^s Damadge Two thousand
pounds of Tobacco & thereupon brings this Suit : / : pr Quer Tho: Poole: / :
And the S^d Coll^ll: W^m: Coulbourne by Thomas Jones his attorney Comes & Defends y force & Injury when &c--
& saith hee is not guilty &c & thereupon &c: the Declaracon not according to Law: / : This followeing acco^t
