James Davis being wittnes to A bill past betweene Thomas
Jones and Jeremiah Hooke being sworne Saith
That Jeremia Hooke made some exeptions in
passing of this bill that if the said Jones Shoulld not
appeare in his bussnes at St: Maries that he woulld
not pay it, mr: Jones made answer that if he did but
appeare in his behalfe at St: Maries and but Speake
in his bussnes this bill to be due this is the truth
and nothing but the truth to the best of my remembrance
