Pittuxint the 18th: october 1675
Know All men by these Presents That whereas Abraham
Gording of Boston in New England mariner and successor
to Mathew Armstrong late of Boston aforesaid mariner did
Constitute me Jonas Clarke of Bostone aforesaid mariner his
Attorney And by his Letter of Attorney Did give me full
power to aske Crave and Severall Debts him
in virginia or maryland Acording to his said Letter of
Attorney, especially from the persons under written as
ffollowes, vizt; from mr: Daniell Curtis in the County of
Sommersett in the Province of Maryland the quantity of
ffoure thousand pounds of good marchantable tobacco Due -
to the said Abraham Gording by bill And from Stephen
Bond in the same County in ditto Province of Maryland aforesd:
six hundred pounds of good and marchantable tobacco and
Caske Due by bill And from mr: Randall Revell of said
County of Sommersett in the Province of Maryland eighteene
hundred pounds of good marchantable tobacco due by bill
with all due damadges for non payment thereof according
to engagement given by all the fore named Persons by -
their bills to the said Abraham Gordings Successor to
the aforesaid Mathew Armstrong And Since by providence
it fortuned me the said Jonas Clarke to Come to Pittuxent
and Coulld not get to the respective habitations of the
Aforesaid Debitors Therefore be it knowne unto all
men
