he hath made satisfaccon to Phillip Risdon for the Debt & Chardges
he is now kept in prison for as pr receipts (produced here in Cort:)
under the hand of the said Phillip Risdon more plainely will appeare
and is ready to Aver the same by Nehemiah Covington and John
Covington whome he humbly Craveth may be sworne ; / ; ~ ~
Recd: of John Marckum A bill of Three hundred and fifty
pounds of tobacco and Caske for Attorney and Clerkes ffees
I say recd: by me Phillip Risdon ; / ; ~ ~ ~
Know All men by these presents that I Phillip Risdon of Manokin
in the County of Sommersett Doe release acquitt & dischardge
John Marckum of the same County from all Dues Debts and
Demands from the beginning of the world to the Day and date
hereof as wittnes my hand this fourth day of May 1675 ; /

Nehemiah Covington aged forty or Thereabouts
Sworne saith That I was at the house of John Marckum in May last
and there Came in the evening mr: Phillip Risdon and after some
Discourse he had Demanded satisfaccon according to ordr: of Cort: soe he
pull'd out Two deare Skinns from under the bed mr: Risdon here is
Two deare Skins he replyed here is not enough I want Another
And he tolld him he Coulld gett out an execucon but he was
Loath to put him to soe much Chardge John Marckum tolld mr: Risdon
he woulld pay the rest to John Bosem the which Boseman accepted
of & upon that mr: Risdon gave Marckum A dischardge and further
saith not ; / ; Nehemiah Covington ; / ; John Covington saith
