ffrancis Jenckins deputy Surveyor presents this
ffollowing Certificate and humbly Craves order
for his pay ; / ;
Maryland Ss Aprill the 22th: 1675
To his excellency the Capta: Genll:
By virtue of a warrant bearing Date the 6th: day of aprill
in the 43th: yeare of the Dominion of the Rt: honr:ble
Caecilius Annoq Domini 1675 Grannted for the
Laying out of fifty Acres of Land for the use of
Sommersett County Signed pr mr: Wm: Stevens pr
order &c These are therefore humbly to Certifie that
I ffrancis Jenckins Deputy Surveyor under y honr:ble
Baker Brooke esqr: Surveyor genll: have Laid out
for the use of Sommersett County a parcell of Land
Called Gllchester - - Scituate Lyeing and being on the
east Side of Chesiapeack bay near the head of Manoakin
river about three miles back in the woods from the
said River bounded as ffoll beginning at a marked
red oake standing on the south west side of a branch of
Manoakin river Called Smiths branch Thence with
