William Tompson deft:
Sommersett Ss William Tompson was attached to answer The
suite of Henry Smith in an accon of Trespas upon
the Case ; / ; ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
And the said Henry by his Attorney Edward Jones saith
That the said William Did Carry and Convey out of This
Province one Richard Pomphrey Contrary to the good Lawes of
this Province without A pass The which said Richard was
Indebted unto the said Henry the summe of foure hundred twenty
and seaven pounds of tobacco and Caske as pr his accompt here
in Cort: produced more plainely will appeare but the said
William refuseth to pay the aforesaid summe of 427lb: tobacco
and Caske according to Act of Assembly in that Case provided
Although thereunto hath severall times bin Demanded whereby
the said Henry is Damnified and hath Dammadge to the vallue
of one Thousand two hundred pounds of Tobacco and Caske
And thereupon brings his suite ; / ; ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
