northampton in Virginia was attached to answer the suite
of Pearse Davis of the same County in an accon of
Trespas upon the Case ; / ;
And the said Pearse by his Attourney Henry
Smith saith That the sd: William became Indebted
unto the said Pearse the summe of foure hundred
pounds of Tobacco & Caske as pr his specialty here
in Cort: produced more plainely may appeare
But the said William fraudulently intending
refuseth to pay the Aforesaid summe of foure
hundred pounds of Tobacco and Caske whereby
the said Pearse is Damnified and hath Dammadge
to the vallue of eight hundred pounds of Tobacco
and Caske and thereupon brings his suite
This Bill bindeth me William Scriven
of northampton County my heires executors:
or Assignes to pay or Cause to be payd
to Perce Device his heires executors:
or Assignes the full & Just summe of
foure hundred pounds of Tobacco & Caske
According to the Act of Assembly in some
place in hungers Creeke at or upon the
tenth of november next ensueing the
Date hereof as wittnes my hand this fourth
Day of Aprill 1670 ;
