Caecilius Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of
maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c To our
Trusty and wellbeloved William Stevens and William
Coleborne gent: whereas wee have Lately by or: Comission
under our great seale of our said Province nominated
Constituted and appointed you the said Wm: Stevens &
Wm: Coleborne and the severall other persons in the Commission
named to be Commrs: and Justices for the keeping our peace
in and for our County of Sommersett County with full power
and Authority to keepe our County Cort: there at such
dayes and times as by the Law in this Case made is provided
now Know yee that wee reposeing great trust and Confidence
in yor: ffidellityes and prudent Circumspeccon have Assigned
you and by virtue of these presents Doe give unto you full power
and Authoritie you the said Wm: Coleborne haveing first taken
the usuall Oath of Commr: and Justice of the peace of our said
County upon the wholy Evangelist which Oath wee doe hereby
Impowre you the said William Stevens duely to administer
And you the said William Coleborne haveing recd: and taken the
said Oath wee Doe hereby Authorize and Impowre you to administer
the Like Oath of Commissioner and Justice of the peace of the said
County unto him the said William Stevens which being don
and performed, That then you Call and Cause to come before
you the other persons in the said Commission nominated and
appointed to be Commrs: and Justices of the peace of our said
County
