my said Attorney Shall Doe or Cause to be Don in the
Premisses, In wittnes whereof I the abovesaid Vincent
Shuttelworth have hereunto Sett my hand and Seale this
fifth day of Aprill Annoq Domini one Thousand Six

To all people to whome these presents Shall come I George Betts
of Sommersett County in the Province of Maryland plantor:
send greeting in our Lord God everlasting; Whereas God
hath bin pleased to Blesse me with A visible estate for which
his wholy name be praysed I Doe therefore now out of my
tender Care and good will which I beare unto Bridgett Nelson
(The Daughter of John Nelson late of this County Deceased)
ffor Diverss Causes and Consideracons mee thereunto moveing
being without fraud or Deceipt; have given granted
Allienated Sold and made over; And by these presents Doe
Absolutely give grante allienate make over and Confirme
unto the said Bridgett Nelson and to her heires for ever;
one pied heifer with a white Starr in her fforehead Com-
monly called or knowne by the name of ffortune; marked
as ffolloweth the right ear Cropt and oversquared the Left
ear Cropt and swallow fforkt To have and to hold

The said heifer with her encrease both male and ffemale
to her the said Bridgett Nelson and to the heires and assignes
of the said Bridgett for ever, Provided and it is my
Absolute intent and meaning that the said Bridgett shall
not Dispose of the said heifer nor none of her encrease
untill she Commeth to ffoureteene yeares of age or day
of marriage; Then to have and to hold and to enjoye
and Dispose off as her proper goods for ever, It is alsoe
my will and pleasure that the said heifer with her encrease
Shall run in the Stock of her ffather in Lawes John Lawes Cattle
untill the said Bridgett comes to the age aforesaid or day of
marriage, moreover it is my will and pleasure that the
said heifer with her encrease if incase the said Bridget Nelson
shoulld be taken away by Death before she Commeth to age or
day of marriage That then the said heifer with her encrease
both male and ffemale be the proper goods of her Brother John
Nelson And to the heires and assignes of the said John Nelson
for ever; ffor Confirmacon and full Assurance of the truth
above written I the said George Betts have unto these presents
Sett my hand and fixed my Seale this twenty six day of Aprill
in the XXXXith: yeare of the Dominion of the Rt: honble: Caecilius &c
over the Province of Maryland Annoq Domini one Thousand
