Thomas Ball deft: the Case upon Accompt
The plt: and Deft: Appeare before the board
and refer their Cause Depending untill the next Cort:

Knowe all men by these presents that I Cornelius
Johnson of pocomoke in Maryland Cooper have Constituted
and appointed and by these presents Doe Constitute & appointe
my Deare and wellbeloved wife Barbary Johnson to be
my true & Lawfull Attorney in my name & for my use to
aske Demand & require all such summe or Sumes of tobacco
as is or may bee due from any person or persons what -
soever and upon non payment of the Same to arrest sue
implead or imprison any of the said person or persons &
at her owne will and pleasure to acquitt release discharge
or from prison Lett and person soe arrested Likewise doe
give and grant unto my said attorney full power to bargain
buy or Sell or Dispose of any of my estate according as She
Shall thinke fitt and to Compound or agree any Difference
or Differences that may arise about any land Cattle or other
thing whatsoever giving and granting unto my said Attorney
full power and Authority if She Shall Soe thinke fitt to constitute
& appointe any attorney or attorneys under her for the better
managemt: of any bussnes Ratiefieing and Confirming
by these presents whatsoever my Said attorney or any Im
powered by her Shall doe in as full and ample manner as if
my Selfe were there in presence as wittnes my hand & Seale
