167 County and Province aforesaid gent: of the other part Witt
nesseth That whereas the said Lord Baltemore by his
Deed of Grant under the great Seale used in the said
Province of Maryland for granting of Land there bearing
date at St: Maries the nine and twentieth day of August
in the XXXvith: year of the Dominion of the Rt: hon:ble
Caecilius &c Ao: Do: 1667 Did for the Consideracon
therein mentioned grant unto Thomas Poole by the
name of Thomas Poole of Sommersett County in the
Province of Maryland plantor; all that parcell of Land
Called Pooles hope Lyeing in Sommersett County
aforesaid at the head of the back Creek of Manoakin
beginning at a marked poplar deviding it from the
Land of Richard Davis thence running by the Lines
of Richard Davis the bredth of one hundred & fifty
poles to a marked oke and from thence running easterly
the Length of three hundred twenty five poles to A
marked pine and from thence running northerly to
the Damnes Side the bredth of one hundred & fifty
poles to a markt tree Standing on the Southermost
Side of the Damnes; thence Downe the southermost
Side of the Damnes with Severall Angles to the
first bounds Containing three hundred acres more
