129 Know All men by these presents that I John England
of the Citty of Bristoll marchant hath made Constituted &
appointed & by these presents doe make Constitute ordeine
& appoint my Loveing friend Edward Jones of Somersett
County plantor to be my Lawfull attorney for me & in my
name & to my use & behoofe to aske Demand recover & reclaime?
all Such summes of Moneys Goods Wares tobacco merchandizes
or whatsoever Shall be either Due oweing either by bill
bond reckoning accompt promise or other manner of
wayes whatsoever, And if occasion be to Sue arrest Implead
imprison & Condemne & out of prison againe to deliver & to
Agree Compound Acquittance or Acquittances to give; And
one or more Attorneys under him to make & at his pleasure
to revoke, And fully in all matters whatsoever in y Concerns
of Sommersett County in the province of Maryland my
person to represent; in as full & and effectuall manner
as I my Selfe might if personnally present Rattiefieing
alloweing & Confirming whatsoever my Said Attorney
Shall doe Concerning the premisses In Wittnes whereof I have
here sett my hand & Seale this 4th: day of March Ao: 1671
