Watson, Esqrs Justices
Att which Said Provinciall Court was produced the returne of the afore-
said Warrant in these Words following.
By Virtue of an Order from the Provll Court bearing Date the 15th day
of May Last for the resurveying and Laying out any Line or Lines of a Par-
cell of Land [116] Called Cudlington and also a Tract of Land Called Watt-
son upon an Action in Ejectment both lying and being in Talbott County
on the Westerne Side of Harris's Creek.
These may humbly Certify that I have (in the presence of the high
Sherriffe of Talbott County and by the direction of a Jury of .the Neighbour-
hood by the Said Sherriffe for that Purpose Impannelled and Sworne) Re-
surveyed and laid out So much of the Said Land Called Cudlington as is
Clear of a more Ancient Survey Called Crumwell beginning att a Locust
Post now Sett by a Cove as near as the Jury (by the Evidence to them pro-
duced) Could find to the old bounded Poplar the first bounded Tree of the
Said Land which is Rotten and gone and running South South East Two
hundred Thirty Seaven Perches to the Place where it Appeared to the Jury
that the Second Bounded Tree Stood which is Likewise gone and which did
Likewise Appear to be the Second Bounded Tree of a Tract of Land Called
Cromwell and from thence with Cromwell West and by North one hundred
Eighty five perches then by a Streight Line to the Post Conteining one hun-
dred and Twelve Acres as by the Platt may Appear, And That I have Like-
wise resurveyed and laid out the Said Tract of Land Called Wattson begin-
ning att a bounded Oak Standing on a Point and running North East and
by North Seaventy five perches and then North west and by West three
hundred and Twenty perches to an Oak now bounded and then South West
and by South Seaventy five Perches but the Said South west and by South
line being by pattent to Intersect and Joine to the Land Called Cudlington
which neither Course nor distance will do the Jury, therefore think fitt onely
to returne a fair platt of both the Said Tracts of Lands together with the
Vacancy or Surplusage of Land between them and leave it to your Honors
and [117] further Tryall whether the next line Shall run by a direct Course
Course [sic] to the first Tree or by a new Course to the Land of Cudlington
both which are described in the Platt by prickt Lines and also the West and
by North line with Cromwell is described in the Platt by a dasht Line the
rest all by Black Lines In Wittness whereof we have hereunto Sett our hands
and Seales this one and thirtieth day of July Anno Dni 1694
