[718] To the Clk of the Provl Court. — forbear that agt Gordon till further
orders Those v Cockey and Rogers issued May 21 1726. That v Gordon issued
2d June 1726. True Copy of the titling as it remains on the file in the Secre-
tarys office Per Vachel Denton Clk.

MARYLAND ss [The prov1 Seale of Maryland] Charles Absolute Lord
and Propry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Balte-
more etc. To the Sherriff of Ann Arundell County Greeting We Command
you that you take Thomas Cockey of Ann Arundell County Merchant als
diet Thomas Cockey of Ann Arundell County if he Shall be found in your
Bailywick and him Safe Keep So that you have his Body before the Justices
of our Provinciall Court to be held at Annapolis the third Tuesday of Octo-
ber Next to Satisfie unto Thomas Bordley Esqr One of the Attorneys Prac-
tising in our Provl Court as well the Sum of fourteen hundred and forty
Pounds Sterling a Certain Debt Recovered Agt him before the Justices of our
Said Court on the Nineteenth Day of October Last whereof he is Convict as
also the Sum of Eight hundred and Eleven Pounds of Tobacco Cost of Suit.
Hereof fail not at your Perill and have you then there this Writt Wittness
Thomas Addison Esqr Chief Justice of our Court the 2ist day of May in the
Eleventh year of our Dominion etc. Annoque Dom 1726

Wm Rogers the Satisfaction of one will Suffice for the rest the Costs being to
be Severally Satisfyed and Note this Debt was for the payment of Bills of
Exchange and that the PIP on receipt of the Same Justly due to him for his
Principall Debt Dam. Interests and Cost will release what remains of the
penalty if any Tho: Bordley.
