a bond by Pat Sympson, Thos Cockey, Robt Gordon Wm Rogers and John
Cockey on behalf of Said Forward in the penalty of five hundred pounds
Sterling to prosecute his Appeale with Effect Which is approved of by the
Court Whereupon the appeale granted but because there are Some Inter-
lineations in the Bond Ordered it to be renewed by them and Delivered to
the Clk Which is Deemed to be Sufficient

Mr Bordley insisted that Mr Sympson Should be Sworne to his Worth
or Sufficiency but he Declined to be Sworne but Mr Sympson haveing Signed
the Bond with the other Securitys before the objection Was made it was the
Opinion of both parties his Continuing a Security did Not Viciate the Bond
the other Securitys being Approved of as Sufficient by the Court.

The Court adjourns to the third Tuesday of July Next

the Port of Annapolis on the third tuesday of July being the i 9th day of the
Same Month Anno Domini 1726

Were Present: His Excellency the Governour; The Honourable John Hall
Esqr; Colo Mathew Tilghman Ward; James Bowles Esqr; John Rousby Esqr;
Benj* Tasker; Nicholas Lowe Esqr, of the Councel

This Day John Rousby Esqr and Philip Lee Esqr Two of his Lordships
Honourable Council and two of the Judges of in the High Court of Ap-
peals Came into Court and Qualifyed themselves According to Act of Assem-
bly by taking the [sic] of a Judge

The Court adjourns till to Morrow morning Nine of the Clock
Wednesday July 2Oth 1726. The Court meet According to Adjournment
Present: His Excellency the Governour; The Honourable Wm Holland Esqr;
Jno Hall Esqr; John Rousby Esqr; Benj" Tasker Esqr; Nich" Lowe Esqr; Tho8
Addison Esqr; Philip Loyd Esqr; James Bowles Esqr; Philip Lee Esqr, of
the Council

[710] This day William Beckingham Gent Came into Court and Qualifyed
himself as an Attorney by Taking the Oath of Attorney and the Oaths to
the Government According to the Direction of the Act of Assembly.

The Petition of Thomas Cockey in relation to an Execution issued out
of the Provl Court on a Judgment rendered for Thomas Bordley Against
him Whereon he is in Custody of Daniel Mariarte Sherr of Ann" County
from Which Judgment there was an Appeale to this Court where the Judg-
ment was Affirmed and Appeale granted to his Majesty in Council Complain-
ing that he had been Executed after the Said Appeale to his Majesty and
Council granted and Security thereon granted and praying to be relieved
from the Execution Alledging it was unduely and Erroneously issued
