the Sd Complainant and also delivered to the Sd Moale a Copy of the Sd Ac-
count So Settled wherein was Included the State of the Account betwixt the
Sd Powlson and the Complainant Concerning the recovery afd which Account
being delivered as afd this Defendant Conceives he need not produce but
Nevertheless Submitt to the further orders of this Court thereon and this
Defendant further Saith that he hath not any Papers of the Complainants
or his Agents Whereby he Claims any Thing any thing [sic] Agt the Com-
plainant or his Agents Unless What he has herein before Set forth be So
Accounted that This Defendant denys (amongst the many other falsities
Ailedged in the Complainants Bill) that ever he Threatned or heard any
person threaten to put the Sd Judgments in Execution that were reverst
Notwithstanding the reversall nor Ever used any Such Like Expressions that
Could give the Complainant or his Agents any Grounds for So false an Alle-
gation the Said Judgments being Executed or Satisfyed as this Defendant
believes before they Were reverst That this Defendant do's indeed Conceive
himself Unconcerned With the Execution which was not Awarded Against
him of that Judgment wch was not rendred Agt him in a Cause whereto he
was no party nor Can this Defendant Imagine how the Complainant Can
Expect that his Most Gracious Majesty intended by that order Agt Powlson
to oblidge this Defendant to restore that to Forward which he Alledges
Powlson recovered Unjustly Against him or that this Defendant is answer-
able for the Fate of his Clyents or that when his Majesty Mentions Fowlson
he Meant this Defendant or that ever his Majesty Intended to Condemn this
Defendant in So large a Sum without being heard or having any opportunity
of being heard when this Defendant Verily believes had the Case been truly
and fairly Stated to his Majesty and Councill their Judgment would have
been Agt the Complainant and this Defendant further Saith that what Sum
of money or Tobacco the Said Moale paid this Defendant were Chiefly due
from or paid by this Defendant for the Fees of those Suits for which this
Defendant received the Costs or otherwise applyed to the Sd Powlsons use for
the payment of his debts before this Defendant received the Copy of the
order of reversall or heard of it Except about four Pound Sterl as per an
Account wth the Sd powlson wch this Defendant hopes to prove true in every
Article ready in Court to be produced May Appeal That lliis Defendant
Should readily have Subjected any Effects of Powlsons in his hands to the
Attachment or other Judiciall process of the Sd Complainant in the Ordinary
Course of Law or to any other Authority that might Justify this Defendant
without this Defendant being put to the Unnecessary Vexation of Answering
the Complainants Unpresidented Bill. That this Defendant doth not know
that ever he made Such prtences of right to the Two Severall Bills Drawn by
the Sd Cockey as in the Complainants Bill is Ailedged Otherwise than as he
hath herein before answered which right this Defendant Conceives to be
good both in Law and Equity without That that any other Matter or thing
