1722 Come again as well the said Thomas Bordley Esq^r who etc: as the said
William Stone by his Attorney af^d And the said William Stone by his said
Attorney Saith That the said Attorney Gen^ll the Action a? against him to
have and maintain Ought not because he sayth that the said Thomas Dent
Continued in the Execution of the Office of Sherriff of Charles County from
the day of the Date of the writting af^d untill the thirteenth day of August
Anno Domi Seventeen hundred and twelve and no longer to wit at Charles
County af^d and that all the time af^d he the said Thomas did well and truely
Serve her late Majesty Queen Ann in the Office of high Sherriff of Charles
County af^d and did render to the said late lady the Queen and other her
Officers a true faithfull and perfect Account of all and Singular her said
Majestys rights and dues and to her Officers a true and Just Account of their
fees that he was intrusted with by the said late lady the Queens Governour
and other her Officers within this Province to receive and Collect and his
Accounts to the said late lady the Queen and her Governour for the time
