the Justices of the Provinciall Court.

In the Records and proceeding of the Provinciall Court of the Prov-
ince of Maryland amongst other things is Contain'd as follows Vizt:

MARYLAND sst At a Provinciall Court held at the City of Annapolis in
the County of Annarundell for the Province of Maryland on the Second
tuesday in October being the 13th day of the same Month in the fourth year
of the Domn of the Rt Honble Charles Absolute Ld and Propry of [518] The
province of Maryland and Avalon Ld Baron of Baltemore etc: Annoque
Domi: 1719.

Were Present: The Honble Collo Wm Holland Cheif Justice; Lt Collo Samuel
Young; Collo Richard Tilghman; Mr James Stoddart, Justices. Stephen War-
man Sherr: Vachel Denton Clk

[D.D.] John Snow v [T.B.] James Frisby

MARYLAND sst James Frisby late of Cecill County Mercht was Sum-
moned to Answer unto John Snow Mercht of a plea that he render unto him
his reasonable Account of the time he was Baliff of the same John at Gambia
that is to Say in Annarundell County in the Province of Maryland etc: And
whereupon the same John by Daniel Dulany his Attorney saith that whereas
the afsd James Frisby the fourteenth day of June in the year of our Ld God
one thousand seven hundred and Nine at Gambia that is to Say at Ann-
arundell County had Received of the Goods and Chatties of the same John
by the hands of the same John Sixteen hundred one quarter and ten pounds
of the weight Commonly Called Avourduepoyze great weight of Elephants
Teeth of Value of five hundred pounds Sterling to Marchandize and profitt
thereof to make for the same John and a reasonable Account thereof to the
same John when afterwards he should be thereunto required to render Yet
the afsd James altho offten required the reasonable Account afsd thereof to
the same John hitherto hath not rendred but the same to him hitherto to
render hath gainsayd and Still doth gainsay Whereby he saith he is Damni-
fyed and hath loss to the value of seven Hundred pounds Sterling And

thereof he brings Suit etc. T , _.
