said Sherriff and makes returne of his said precept that he had made knowne
to the said Magdalen that she be and appear etc. According to the Execution
of the said Writt before John Michaell and Edward Hambleton two good
and lawfull men etc.
Whereupon the said Magdalen Edmondson Administratrix as aforesaid
by Robert Gouldesborough her Attorney comes and defends the force and
injury when etc. and prays liberty to Imparle hereunto untill next Court
and she hath it the same day is given the plantiff Also.
At which said next Court to witt the Sixteenth day of May Anno Domini
1704 comes againe the said partys by their Attorneys aforesaid and the said
defendant altho' Solemnly called says nothing in bar or Avoidance of the
Scire facias Aforesaid nor doth she by herself or Attorney shew any cause
why Execution should not be Issued etc. wherefore the Plantiff by William
Bladen his Attorney aforesaid prays that execution may be done as in
Writt layd.
It is therefore considered by the Court here the day and year last men-
tioned that the said Hugh Hall Administrator as aforesaid have Execution
of the Judgment aforesaid so obtaind as aforesaid against the said Magdalen
Edmondson Administratrix as aforesaid of the goods and chatties which
were of the said James Edmondson as son and heir of the said John Edmond-
son to witt as well of the Summe of Fifty four pounds Eight shillings and
three pence the debt aforesaid togeather with the Sume of Six hundred
Ninety Six pounds of tobacco costs of suite as the Sume of Six hundred and
forty two pounds of tobacco additionall costs of suite accrueing upon this
Writt of Scire facias to be leavy'd of the goods and chatties which were of
the said James the son and heir aforesaid at the time of his death in the
hands of the said Administratrix remaining to be Administred. [201] After-
wards to witt the fourteenth day of Aprill in the Nineth year of her Majestys
reigne etc. Annoque Dmi 1710 The Record and process of the plea aforesaid
with all things thereunto relating by virtue of her Majestys writt for correct-
ing of Errors whose date is the fourteenth day of Aprill in the Nineth Year
of her Majestys Reigne etc. Annoque Dmi 1710 To the Honoble William
Holland Esqr Chief Justice of her Majestys Provinciall Court of the Province
of Maryland directed, to the said Magdalen Edmondson Admrx as aforesaid
relating before her Majestys President of her Councill of Maryland and
the same Councill sitting in A Court to hear appeals and writts of errour at
the City of Annapolis the Twenty sixth day of July next are sent etc. In Wit-
ness whereof the seale of the said Provinciall Court is hereunto Affixed,
