William Hollyday of Prince Georges County Planter was Attached to
Answer unto Archibald Edmondson of the same County planter of A plea
wherefore with force and Arms the said William Hollyday into one tract or
parcell of land calld the first part of Ryleys discovery lying in prince Georges
County Beginning at A bounded Hickory the Second bounded tree of A
tract of land calld Majors lott running thence West Five hundred twenty
Six perches to A bounded live oak of A tract of land calld partnership then
South one hundred and Ninety perches then South east twenty eight perches
then North east Sixty perches then South twenty one degrees and A half
Easterly one hundred and thirty perches then East thirty five Degrees North-
erly twenty five perches then South east Eighteen perches then south Forty
perches then east Fifty Six perches then North three hundred perches then
South west Sixty four perches then South east Nine perches then South
twenty Nine degrees Westerly fourteen perches then West Fifteen degrees
easterly Fifteen perches then North three degrees Westerly Forty Eight
perches then South Thirty Six degrees Easterly thirty two perches then with
A Strait line to the first bounder Containing and resurveyd for Five hun-
dred Sixty one Acres more or less with all houses edificies and appurtenances
to the said tract or parcell of land belonging which Hugh Ryley of the said
County to the said Archibald did demise for A terme of Years not yet pass'd
did enter and him the said Archibald from his farme aforesaid did Eject to
the great damage of him the said Archibald and against the peace etc.
And Whereupon the said Archibald by Jacob Regnier his attorney
complains that Whereas the aforesaid Hugh Ryley the 25th day of December
in the Year of our Lord 1702 at Patuxent River in prince Georges [162]
County aforesaid did demise unto him the said Archibald Edmondson the
aforesaid tract or parcell of land and premises with the appurtenances. To
have and to hold to him the said Archibald Edmondson and his Assignes
from the said 25th day of December unto the full end and term of three
Years from thence next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended by
Virtue of which demise the aforesaid Archibald Edmondson into the said
tract of Land and premises did enter and was thereof possessed and he the
said Archibald being so thereof possessed the aforesaid William Hollyday
afterwards to witt the 26th day of December in the Yeare aforesaid did by
force and Arms into the said tract of land and premises with the appurte-
nances which the said Hugh Ryley to the said Archibald Edmondson in
forme aforesaid had demised for the terme Aforesaid which is not yet passed
did enter and him the said Archibald Edmondson from his farm Aforesaid
