CHAP. I.
|

An Act to enable the Visitors of the Free-School of Kent County,
for the Time being,
to lease one Moiety of the Land, except Ten Acres,
belonging to the same
School. Lib. B.L.C.

N.B. By
this Act, (1.) The Visitors, or major Part of them, are impowered
to divide and
lay out all that Northernmost, or Uppermost Moiety of
the School Land, except Ten Acres, into
so many convenient Lots, not exceeding 3 Acres to a Lot,
as to them shall seem meet; and
the same to Number and Distinguish by the Numbers 1,
2,3, &c. and to demise or lease out
the same to the highest Bidders, Ten Days public Notice
being first given, for any Term, not
exceeding 21 Years, under such Yearly Rents as the Visitors,
or major Part of them, shall think
proper. (2.) All Leases so made of the Land
aforesaid, shall be good and valid to the Persons
taking the same, for the Terms therein mentioned, and
shall be binding on the School-master,
for the Time being. (3.) The Rents arising
from such Leases shall be applied to the Use of,
and paid to the Master of the said School, for the Time
being, and not otherwise: And in case
of a Vacancy during such Terms, the Monies arising from
such leases, during such Vacancy,
shall be paid tot he Visitors, and by them be applied
to the Use and Benefit of the School, as to
them, or the major Part of them, shall seem meet. |
