    of Negroes and other Slaves, and for taking away the Benefit of Clergy
    from certain Offenders; and to an Act, entitled, c An Act to prevent the tumultuous
    Meeting and other Irregularities of Negroes and other Slaves; and
    directing the Manner of Trying of Slaves.  Lib. B.L.C.  fol. 175.  EXP.
    This Act was passed for 3 Years, &c. and continued by 1740, ch. 7; 1744, ch. 18; and
        1747, ch. 16.  A new law was made 1751, ch. 14.

A Supplementary Act to the Act, entitled, e An Act for Erecting a Town in
    Kent County, on the South Side of Sassafras River, on a Tract of Land called
    Tolchester, at the Place where the Ferry is now kept.  Lib. B.L.C.  Fol.

    N.B.  The Commissioners appointed by the original Act of 1736, ch. 21, having suffered
the Time limited thereon, to elapse, whereby the Act was rendered ineffectual, the present Act
gave them farther Time, tot he last of October 1737, with full Power to perform and do all the
Requisites of the original Act.
CHAP. XI.
Ditto. A Supplementary Act to the Act for Erecting a Town at Joppa, in Baltimore
    County.  LIb. B.L.C.  fol. 181.
    N.B.  There being a Sum of Money in the Hands of the Town-Clerk, arising from Payments
for Lots by second Takers-up, unapplied to the Use of the Town; and the major Part
of the Commissioners being dead, the Money could not be applied as directed by the original
Act of 1724, ch. 16; this present Act therefore impowers the Justices of Baltimore COunty
Court, to receive and apply the said Money for the Use and Benefit of the said Town, &c.
CHAP. XII.
Ditto. An ACt to cut off the entail of Two Acres of Land, Part of a Tract called
    New-Year's-Gift.  Lib. B.L.C. fol. 182.
    Viz.  For the Use of Queen-Caroline Parish in Ann-Arundel County, being the Land whereon
        the Church is built.
