PROCEEDINGS
IN COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
Thursday Evening, August 15, 1867.
The Committee met.
Mr. Dent in the Chair.
The Committee resumed the consideration of the unfinished
business of the morning session, being the Report of the
Committee upon Public Works and Corporations, title,
Article—Public Works ;
The question recurring upon the motion submitted by
Mr. Syester, to strike out Section 3 of said Report.
Pending which,
Messrs. Gill, Walsh and Barnes, respectively, submitted
proposed amendments to the third section, which were read
tor information.
Mr, Barnes moved that the Committee now rise and re-
port that they have had under consideration the Report of the
Committee upon Public Works and Corporations, title, Arti-
cle—Public Works, have made some progress therein, and
recommend to the Convention that the various proposed
amendments to Section 3, which had been read before the
Committee for information, be printed in the Journal, and
ask to be discharged from the further consideration of the
subject.
Decided in the affirmative.
The Committee then rose.
