The question recurring upon the amendment submitted by
Mr, Kilbourn;
By unanimous consent Mr. Kilbourn withdrew the amend-
ment.
The question then recurring upon the amendment submit-
ted by Mr. Franklin ;
It was rejected.
The 2d section was then read.
The 3d section was then read.
The Report was then read a second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
The Convention then took up for consideration the Report
of the Committee upon the Legislative Department;.
Said Report being upon a second reading ;
Pending the reading of the first Section ;
Mr. Rider moved that the Convention do now adjourn un-
til Monday next at ten o'clock, A. M.
Mr. Bateman demanded the yeas and nays ;
The demand being sustained,
