To the Honorable the Constitutional Convention:
Being anxious to visit my home for a few days, I respect-
fully ask your Honorable Body to grant me leave of absence
from the services of the Convention for that purpose.

The Convention then resumed the consideration of thp un-
finished business of yesterday ;

The further consideration thereof was informally postpon-
ed for twenty minutes.
Mr. Carter (by unanimous consent) submitted the follow-
ing order:
Ordered, That Rule 20 be changed by the substitution of
the words "a majority of the," in the place of the word
"nine,"
Which was rejected.
The Convention then took up for consideration, the report
of the Committee upon Department of Labor and Agricul-
ture,
Pending which,
On motion of Mr. Rider,
The further consideration thereof was informally postpon-
ed, and,
The Convention resumed the consideration of the Report
of the Committee upon Education;
