The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.
The President laid before the Convention the Report
from the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County,
in response to an order of he Convention, showing the num-
ber of indictments found in said Court duringthe years 1864,
1865, 1866 and 1867.
Also the Report of said Clerk showing the number of cases
tried, &c., during the years 1865 and 1866 ;
Which were read and referred to the Committee upon the
Judiciary Department.
Mr. Carter presented the memorial of the State of Virginia
and others in relation to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Com-
pany.
Also, the memorial of W. W. Corcoran, J. Philip Roman
and others, in relation to the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal
Company,
