CLERK'S OFFICE OF THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR CALVERT COUNTY,
June 5, 1867.
To the Hon. Richard B. Carmichael,
President of the State Constitutional Convention, Md.:
SIR :—In compliance with an order of your Honorable
Body, I herewith transmit a statement of the aggregate reve-
nue, as near as I can get at it, of my office, from the time I
was elected Clerk, in November, 1863, to the present time
also, the amount received from each source of revenue, and
the expenses of said office:
Aggregate revenue of office for 1864............ $1,100 00
" " " 1865............ 1,600 00
" " " 1866............ 2,050 00
The above amounts include all fees, good, bad and indif-
ferent.
The amount from each source of revenue, as follows;

Recording deeds and chancery proceedings.... 400 00

1865.

The expenses of my office for the. years aforementioned,
have averaged AS follows :
My individual services, daily in the office, and
