Monday 7th. December 1789

The Council met.
Present as on Saturday.

Ordered that the western Shore Treasurer pay to John Shaw Seventy three pounds,
twelve shillings and seven pence half penny balance of Account passed by the Deputy Auditor.
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Wednesday 9th. December 1789

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered that the western Shore Treasurer pay to John Davidson Seven pounds eight
Shillings and nine pence for six Reams letter paper bought of him for the use of the Council,

That the said Treasurer pay to Richard Harrison Three hundred and seventy nine
pounds, sixteen shillings and two pence Current Money, due him on an Account for transac-
tions for the State in the west indies, this day adjusted by the Board agreeably to a Resolu-
tion of the Legislature passed the 4th. instant,

That the said Treasurer pay to Samuel Sterett, Agent for the Messrs. Van Staphorst
Two hundred and ninety pounds, seventeen shillings and eleven pence Current Money, out
of the Money collected, and to be collected in Virtue of the Act to procure a permanent fund
for the debt due from this State to the said Messrs. Van Staphorst to be applied to the
payment of the advances of Interest made by them upon the Loan negotiated by them.

In Council December 9th. 1789

The Treasurer of the western Shore is requested to receive from Colo. Henry Hollings-
worth, one of the Agents for the State, such Monies as he may have received as Agent, giving
his Receipt for the Same to be applied to the Credit of the Eastern Shore Treasurer on the
application of the said Treasurer

[p. 124] The Board being informed that there is a brass field piece in Dorchester
County, belonging to the State Ordered that Colo. Winder be requested to secure and forward
it to the Arsenal at Easton or to Annapolis as may be most Convenient.
