"14 Nov. 1791—ii Nov. 1793" 353

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Samuel Rawlings One pound twelve
shillings and eight pence specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the debts due from this State'
per Account passed by the Auditor the 26th September last.

Friday 4th. October 1793

The Council met.
Present Mr Brice

Mr Kilty

Mr Davidson

Mr Pinkney

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Anne McGill and others Three pounds,
[p. 274] ten shillings for the like sum paid into the Treasury by Thomas Russell for
land Warrants issued in 1782 to locate within the reserves of Baltimore County and assigned
to the said Anne McGill and others.

The Petition of Joshua Groves of Prince Georges County praying to be released from
a fine imposed on him by the County Court of the said County at September term last for
retailing spiritous liquor contrary to law, was rejected.

William Whitely appointed an Associate Justice of Caroline County in the room of
Zabdiel Potter deceased and Commission issued to Henry Downes and William Whitely
Associate Justices of the said Court.

Saturday 5th. October 1793

The Council met.
Present the Governor

Mr Davidson

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Gilmour Fifteen pounds on
Account.

Mr Pinkney

Ordered that Mr John Shaw Armourer deliver to Thomas Coulson, James Mosher, John
Lindvill, John Scroggs, and Philip Mosher Officers of a Volunteer Company of Militia
formed in Baltimore town, Seventy five Stand of Arms with Accoutrements, which are to be
returned when called for.
