Saturday 2d. June 1792

The Council met.

Present as on Tuesday.

The Auditor is requested to issue a Certificate for the Depreciation of pay to Nicholas
Cissall late a Soldier in the third Maryland Regiment enlisted the 27th of January 1780 and
deliver the same to the Treasurer of the western shore who is hereby ordered to pay it over to
John Baptist Cissall Brother and Administrator of the said Nicholas Cissall.
[p. 86] Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Eliazer Davis Six pounds,
thirteen shillings and four pence per Account passed by the Auditor,

That the said Treasurer pay to James Shaw for the use and by order of Abraham Gambell
an Invalid Pensioner of Dorchester County, Three pounds eleven shillings for the deficiency
of half pay to the 1st of May last allowed him by a Resolution of the General Assembly the
8th of December last.

Whereas James Hughs entered into Bond on the nth September 1781 in the sum of four
hundred and eighty one pounds, ten shillings, with John Carback, Henry Hughs and John
Murry, his Securities for one hundred and seventy five Acres of Land called James's Park
confiscated British property, that the principal and interest now amounts to upwards of seven
hundred pounds. And Whereas it appears that the said James Hughs has been released by the
Chancellor, and that his Trustee Thomas Bailey has accounted for the Estate of the said James
Hughs and has paid the balance, being eight pounds seven shillings Current Money to the
Treasurer of the western shore, that Henry Hughs died insolvent, that John Murray has left
the State and took with him what little property he had, and that John Carback who Petitions
to be released from the said [p. 87] purchase has a large family of Children and not
more property than will discharge one fifth of the Claim: The Board after mature deliberation
do order and direct that the Bond aforesaid be cancelled upon the Trustee of the said James
Hughs releasing to the State all the right of the said James Hughs to the said Property.

Tuesday 5th. June 1792

The Council met.

Present as on Saturday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Major Mountjoy Bayly Six hundred
and fifty six pounds, fifteen shillings and eleven pence his Commission on the Sales of the
Lands Westward of Fort Cumberland per Account passed by the Auditor.

Monday 11. June 1792

The Council met.

The following endorsement was made on an Account of the State against Capt. Thomas
