The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

In Council June 1. 1791

Resolved that Tristram Bowdle Esqr. be and he is hereby appointed a Commissioner
under the "Act for the Building a Court House in Talbot County for the accomodation of the
General Court for the Eastern shore and the County of Talbot" passed November Session
1789, in the room of William Hayward Esqr. deceased.

T. Johnson Jr., Sec'y.

The Hon'ble. John Kilty Esqr. attended,
[p. 306]

Nicholas Hammond Esqr. having resigned his seat in the Orphans Court of Dorchester
County, Mr. William Goldsborough is appointed, and

Commission issued to Henry Waggaman, Charles Goldsborough of Cha's., and William
Goldsborough Justices of the Orphans Court of said County.

Alexander Clagett, Ignatius Taylor and Richard Pindell appointed Justices of the
Orphans Court of Washington County.

John Barnes, John Celler, Alexander Clagett, Ignatius Taylor, Thomas Cramphin,
Matthew Vanlear, William Good, George Scott, Adam Ott, Richard Cromwell, and Lancelot
Jacques Junr. appointed Justices of the Peace of Washington County.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Thursday 2d. June 1791

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Welsh one pound seven shillings
and three pence Current Money per Account passed by the Auditor General.

Commission issued to John Smoot, Edward Noel, Thomas Jones, Benjamin Keene,
Henry Leeke, Robert Griffith, Solomon Birckhead, Robert Dennis, Doctr. William Hooper,
John Hooper, Doctr. John Cropper, Ezekiel Richardson, Thomas Woolford, Alexander
Douglass and John Stevens appointed Justices of the Peace for Dorchester County.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.
