Months Salary as one of the Judges of the Court of Appeals due the 1st. instant.
The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Tuesday 3d. August 1790

The Council met.

Present as on yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Benja. Rumsey Esqr. fifty pounds for one
quarter's Salary as a Judge of the Court of Appeals ending the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to John Kilty Esqr. fifty pounds for one quarters Salary as a
Member of the Council due the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to William Hindman Esqr. fifty pounds for one quarter's
Salary as a Member of the Council.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Wednesday 4th. August 1790

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Shaw Twenty five pounds for six
Month's Salary as Armourer at Annapolis due the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Randolph Brandt Latimer Esqr. fifty pounds for one
quarter's Salary as a Member of the Council,

That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Robert Denny two pound five shillings for paper for
the Auditors Office and also the further sum of Fifty pounds for one quarter's Salary as
Auditor General due the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Frederick Green Ninety three pounds, fifteen shillings for
one quarter's Salary as Printer to the State due the 1st. instant.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow morning.

Friday 6th. August 1790

In Council August 6. 1790

Lewis Evans of Ann Arundel County by his Petition sets forth, that he was presented last
March Court for selling liquor without licence at six different times, and that the Court at their
present term have fined him six pounds on each presentment, that in August 1789 he was on
his way to Annapolis to take out a licence, but was informed by William Spurrier that the law
making a licence necessary, had expired, and that he had his information from Lawyers, on
which, he omitted going to Court, and did not discover his mistake 'till he was told the Grand
