His Excellency John Eager Howard Esquire and
The Hon'ble. John Kilty Esquire attended

[p. 183] Saturday 26th. June 1790

The Council met.

Present His Excellency John Eager Howard Esquire

The Honorable John Kilty

James Brice

John Davidson

Randolph B. Latimer Esquires

The Council adjourned 'till Monday Morning.

Monday 28th. June 1790

The Council met.

Present as on Saturday.

The Justices of Charles County at a court held on the 18th. June instant agreeably to
the 59 S[ection] of the Act to regulate the Inspection of Tobacco, having recommended one
person only for each of the following Warehouses in said County viz—Chickamuxon,
Nanjemoy, Cedar Point and Benedict, the following were appointed Inspectors—

at Chickamuxon Francis Speake

Nanjemoy William Dodfrey Adams

Cedar point John Marshall

Benedict Leonard Letchworth

and Commissions issued.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning.

Tuesday 29th. June 1790

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Commissions issued to Isaac Rawlings appointed one of the Coroners of Calvert County.

Reubin Merriweather one of the Coroners of Anne Arundel County

Robert Bradley Tyler one of the Coroners of Prince Georges County

[p. 184] In Council June 29th. 1790

Whereas Patrick Halfpenny and Catharine Halfpenny of Baltimore County, were pre-
sented in the Court of Oyer and Terminer for said County, at March term last—the former
in two, and the latter in one, Presentments, and fined on each twenty shillings. And the said
Patrick and Catharine having by their Petition represented, that the said fines were for an
Assault, and that the fines and fees are too burthensome, having a large family of Children
to support, and nothing to depend on but the daily labour of him the said Patrick, they
