The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

The Honorable Gabriel Duvall

John Kilty

Samuel T. Wright Esquires.

Commissions issued to John Bracco, Jeremiah Banning, Richard
Johns, William Dawson, Woolman Gibson junr., Hugh Sherwood
junr., Charles Gardiner, James Thomas and John Roberts appointed
Justices of Talbot County.

[p 99] Jeremiah Banning, Richard Johns, William Dawson,
Woolman Gibson Junr. and Charles Gardiner appointed Justices of
the Orphans Court of Talbot County.

George Dawson, Nicholas Goldsborough, and John Thomas
Junior appointed Coroners of Talbot County.

Zadock Selby, and William Parker of Schoolfield appointed
Coroners of Worcester County.

The Council adjourned 'till 5 o'clock.

5 o'clock P. M.

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

The Honorable James Brice

Gabriel Duvall

John Kilty Esquires.

Agreeably to a Resolution of the General Assembly of this Day,
requesting the Board to take Gabriel Peterson Vanhorn's Bond
with Security for performing the Duties required by the Act en-
titled "An Act to grant to Gabriel Peterson Vanhorn an exclusive
Right to keep Stage Carriages on the public Road, from the River
Susquehannah to the River Potowmack," the said Gabriel Peterson
Vanhorn attended with Richard Lemmon, and John Dow Cary his
Securities, which were approved of, and Bond was accordingly taken
in the Penalty of One thousand pounds Current Money for the per-
formance of the Duties required by the said Act.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Thursday 2d. March 1786

The Council met.
