[p 46] Commission issued to William Hanson Esquire who was

appointed Examiner General the 25th. June last.

Richard Button formerly a Subject of Great Britain, who hath
lately arrived in this State appeared before the Board, and did
Voluntarily make, repeat and Subscribe a Declaration of his Belief
in the Christian Religion, and also took repeated and subscribed the
Oath prescribed by the Act for Naturalization whereby he is now
become a Subject of this State.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning n o'clock.

Wednesday 27th. July 1785

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Commission issued to John Browne, James Bordley, James
O'Bryan, Clement Sewell, Vachel Downes, Edward Downes, Jacob
Ringgold, Arthur Emory, George Baynard, John Fisher, John
Thompson, Richard Bennett Carmichael, James Barnes, Abraham
Falconer, Aquila Brown and Peregrine Fitzhugh appointed Justices
of the Peace for Queen Anne's County.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow Morning n o'clock.

Thursday 28th. July 1785

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Paca Esquire Governor.

The Honorable

Charles Wallace, Aquila Paca, John Davidson and Samuel T.
Wright Esquires.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

The Council met.

The Council adjourned till tomorrow Morning 11 o'clock.
