Esqr. Fifty pounds Current Money for a quarters Salary due to him
the 1st. instant as one of the Judges of the Court of Appeals.

That the said Treasurer pay to Joshua Dorsey Seven pounds, ten
shillings Current Money due to him the 1st. instant for a quarters
Salary as Clerk of the Senate.

His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire attended.

The Council adjourned 'till Tuesday the 20th. of February instant.

Tuesday 20th. February 1787

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esquire.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Colo. John H.
Stone Forty two pounds, three shillings and four pence for One
quarters Salary due him the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Joseph Clark Six hundred and
ten pounds fifteen shillings and three pence three farthings for dis-
bursements and Commission on the public buildings up to the 3d.
instant per Acco't. passed by the Aud'r. Gen'l, the 5th instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Colo. Harrison Judge of the Gen-
eral Court One hundred and fifty pounds for one quarters Salary
to the 1st. instant.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

[p 210] Wednesday 21st. February 1787

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to John Wright
Three pounds fifteen shillings on account of Salary due him as Clerk
to the Commissioner of Accounts to the 1st. instant.

That the said Treasurer pay to Frederick Green Ninety three
pounds, fifteen shillings for One Quarters Salary as Printer to the
State due him the 1st. Instant.

A List of Papers sent to Matthew Ridley Esqr., Agent to attend
the Arbitrators at New York respecting Van Staphorsts Claim:

No. i. Copies and Extracts of Letters between Mr. Ridley and
Messrs. Vanstaphorsts.

2. Memorial of Messrs. Vanstaphorsts to the General As-
sembly of Maryland.

3. Letter Nicholas and Jacob Vanstaphorst to the Governor
6 Oct'r. 1784.

4. Mr. Ridley to Mr. Samuel Chase, 18 July 1783.
