Stevens, James Bennett, John Span Conway, Henry Miles, and
William Winder junior Justices of the Peace.

Worcester County

John Selby, Joseph Dashiell, Ebenezer Handy, Thomas Purnall,
James Selby, John Postley, Josiah Mitchell, John Pope Mitchell,

Handy Indian Town, Justices of the Peace.

Tuesday 16th. January 1787

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Smallwood Esqr.

The Hon'ble. James Hindman, John Kilty and John Davidson
Esquires.

[p 199] Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Cob.
John Stewart Thirty Pounds Current Money to be delivered over to
Nancy Handy for the Maintenance and C10thing of Joseph Handy
junr. son of the late Captain Joseph Handy and adopted by the State,
per Account passed by the Auditor General.

The Honorable Jeremiah T. Chase Esquire attended.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to John Mackall
junior Twelve pounds, ten shillings Current Money to be delivered
over to Eleanor and Ann Foster joint Administratrix of James
Foster for five months pay as a Soldier from 1st. August 1780 to 1
January 1781 per Certificate of the Auditor General.
