Saturday 22d. January 1785

The Council met.

Present His Excellency William Paca Esquire Governor.

The Honorable

Aquila Paca, John Davidson, John H. Stone and Samuel T. Wright
Esquires.

[p 16] Commissions issued to John Browne, James Bordley,
James O'Bryan, Clement Sewell, Vachel Downes, Edward Downes,
Jacob Ringgold, Arthur Emory, George Batnard, John Fisher, John
Thompson, Richard Bennett Carmichael, James Barnes, Abraham
Falconer, and Aquila Browne appointed Justices of the Peace for
Queen Anns County and also to

John Browne, James Bordley, James O'Bryan, Clement Sewell
and Vachel Downes appointed Justices of the Orphans Court of
Queen Anne's County.

William Winder, John Stewart, Levin Wilson, Gillis Polk, John
Williams, Joseph Venables, John Span Conway, Henry Jackson,
Levin Woolford, Henry Miles, George Waters, William Stevens,
John Winder, George Gale Junior, Henry Gale, Richard Waters
Junior, and James Bennett appointed Justices of the Peace for
Somerset County and also to

John Stewart, John Williams, John Span Conway, Henry Jackson
and George Gale Junior appointed Justices of the Orphans Court of
Somerset County.

Matthew Driver, Thomas Hardcastle, Henry Dickinson, Charles
Daffin, Philemon Downes, Joseph Douglass, Zabdiel Potter, William
Frazier, Thomas Hughlett, Henry Downes, Joseph Richardson and
John Stevens of Walter appointed Justices of the Peace for Caroline
County and also to

Matthew Driver, Henry Dickinson, Charles Daffin, Philemon
Downes and Henry Downes appointed Justices of the Orphans Court
of Caroline County.

The Justices of the Peace, and Orphans Court for Dorchester
County are hereby re-appointed and continued.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday 11 o'clock.

Monday 24th. January 1785

The Council met.

Present as on Saturday.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow 11 o'clock.

Tuesday 25th. January 1785

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow 11 o'clock.
