The Council met.

William Paca Esquires.

John Booth formerly a Subject of Great Britain who hath lately
arrived in this State, appeared before the Board and did voluntarily
make, request and subscribe a Declaration of his Belief in the Chris-
tian Religion, and also took repeated and subscribed the Oath pre-
scribed by the Act for Naturalization, wherefore he is now become
a Subject of this State.

[p 165] Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to
Benjamin Mackall Esqr. Fifty pounds for One Quarter's Salary as
One of the Judges of the Court of Appeals due the 1st. August last.

That the said Treasurer pay to Joshua Dorsey Eighteen pounds
fifteen shillings for One Quarter's Salary as Clerk of the Senate to
1st. August last.

That the said Treasurer pay to Joseph Mogg Eight shillings and
nine pence for cleaning the Ball room per Account passed by the
Deputy Auditor.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Wednesday 6th. September 1786

The Council met.
