Thursday 10th. August 1786

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Commission issued to Archibald Edmondson appointed Inspector
of Conococheague Warehouse in Washington County.

Having considered the Charges exhibited by Mr. John Alien
Thomas against Walter Hanson, John Dent, and Samuel Hanson
Esquires and the reply of the said Justices, and the Evidence pro-
duced in both sides Resolved that it is the Opinion of this Board
that the said Justices have not been guilty of any Wilful violation
of their Duty and therefore that they be not displaced. Resolved That
it is the Opinion of this Board that Mr. John Alien Thomas in bring-
ing the Conduct of the said Justices before this Board for examina-
tion and enquiry, has Manifested a becoming Zeal and Regard for
Order and good Government.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow Morning 11 o'clock.

Friday nth. August 1786

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to John Randall
for the use of George P. Keeports One pound, seventeen shillings,
and six pence due him per Account passed by the Auditor General.

The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.

Saturday 12th. August 1786

The Council met.

Present as on Yesterday.

The Council adjourned 'till Monday Morning 11 o'clock.

The Council met.

Samuel T. Wright Esquires.

Ordered That the Western Shore Treasurer pay to Joseph
Williams Thirty four pounds, seven shillings and six pence specie

agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State" per

Account passed by the Auditor General the 31 March 1783.
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning 11 o'clock.
